just 100 yards away from the cabanas and exotic bird species just outside your window, you'll have no problem finding something to do. From the grounds, you can walk to the river at the edge of the property and do some early-morning-wildlife-watching. It's also a good place for a refreshing swim in the heat of the day.

For those looking to venture on their own, enjoy a very scenic country-walk (or jog) down Branch Mouth Road.
From Midas Resort, the road meanders for about a mile and ends where the Macal and Mopan Rivers join up, to form the
Belize River.


Hammock Bridge at Branch Mouth

A small park has been set aside for picnicking and swimming. From here you can cross the Mopan River via the "Hammock Bridge". On the other side is an uphill path, leading to the village of Santa Familia.
