Once again we had a wonderful time here at Midas Resort. We’ve been here several times before and its always such a joy. Friendly people always ready to help with anything our friend Abraham is one of the gentlest people I’ve met in Belize. I highly recommend this Resort.

The Midas is definitely the best value resort in the San Ignacio area, only a short walk from town but with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere near the river. I'm so glad that Maria and her sons Mathew and Michael are managers once again. My wife and I have stayed at the Midas many times over the past several years, and it has always been a great place to stay and relax, and a great bargain. Now with Maria and her sons back in charge it promises to be even better! Many building improvements are underway, as well as a new bar in the dining area and a swimming pool coming soon. We love the wooden cabins with fans and porches, but there are also cabins and cabanas with a/c for those who prefer it. The food is great and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Abraham, the groundskeeper, is great with plants, landscaping, and just about anything else you could need. I highly recommend the Midas Resort, where there's truly "a touch of heaven in town."

Midas Resort has simply been an absolute “GEM” of a place to stay. Abraham was so helpful and even showed us the Iguanas in the trees to our untrained eye. It’s peaceful relaxing and a five minute walk into town. The restaurant next door, Hodes is a great place for dinner too. Abraham was able to organize tubing for us to do with the excellent guide.

I recommend you to stay at Midas. My cabana rocked and I was able to wake up to the peaceful sound of the birds “not traffic”. If you want to experience real Belizean hospitality this is the place to stay. 5 out of 5 Ps I only got to stay here for 2 nights if I could have I would have stayed another 5.

Wonderful resort and amazing staff. Very helpful and friendly I am very sad to leave here and will recommend Midas to my friends. Abraham has been a pleasure. It is a store’s throw from town the town has a beautiful restaurant Eva’s , wonderful food. Midas hooked us up with a wonderful tour, Cave tubing was also amazing. Never alone anything like that would do again. Once again wonderful time at Midas would come back again.

This place was very cute and calm. Abraham was most helpful and knowledgeable absent surroundings and wildlife. He even helped us to spot Iguanas in the trees. The staff was friendly as well as our guide Herry was very patient to us.

This hotel provides a good atmosphere which makes me very relax. In the morning, mango tree wakes me up by putting the fruits on my room’s roof. I did not notice what the sound first but I found out the source later. It’s fun to hear the noise now. Not only the mango tree, also birds makes me fun. Free wireless internet service is really good. Thanks for the three nights I could recover my power before continuing to travel.

There is no better place to experience a hurricane in Belize, than in Midas Resort. The staff is amazing, external friendly and comforting. Michael and Abraham are very calm and collected like the “Batman and Robin” of the resort. They were quite accommodating the entire guest felt safe and secure. Thank you guys, keep up the good work.
